About Jeff Wilson
✓ Instructional design grounded in real classroom practice.
✓ One point of contact, from strategy to delivery.
Background
I teach Photography, Digital Imaging, Multimedia Foundations, Photoshop, and Illustrator at several colleges and universities, including Crafton Hills College and the University of Redlands. I am an expert across Adobe Creative Cloud and design for print, web, and electronic delivery. My work also spans app and plugin development, typography, audio engineering, lighting design, photography, and videography. That blend of craft, classroom, and technology shapes how I design learning: practical, well-produced, and focused on what learners do next. I hold an M.A. in Instructional Design and Technology from CSUSB, with a certificate in eLearning Delivery.

What is instructional design?
Instructional design is the systematic process of creating educational experiences that make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient and effective. It involves analyzing learners’ needs, defining learning objectives, and developing instructional materials and assessments.
How do open educational resources (OER) benefit learners?
Open educational resources (OER) provide free access to high-quality educational materials, allowing learners to engage with diverse content without financial barriers. They promote collaborative learning, enhance educational equity, and support personalized learning paths, making education more accessible to everyone.
What technologies are used in video-based learning?
Video-based learning utilizes various technologies such as video conferencing tools, learning management systems (LMS), and interactive video platforms. These technologies facilitate the creation, distribution, and analysis of video content, enhancing engagement and interactivity in the learning process, ultimately leading to better learning outcomes.
How can I implement OER in my teaching?
To implement OER in your teaching, start by identifying relevant resources that align with your curriculum. Integrate these materials into your lesson plans, encourage students to explore OER for assignments, and share your own resources with the community. This fosters a culture of collaboration and resource sharing among educators and learners.
What are the advantages of using technology in education?
Using technology in education offers numerous advantages, including increased engagement through interactive content, personalized learning experiences tailored to individual needs, and access to a wealth of information and resources. It also facilitates collaboration among students and teachers, preparing learners for a technology-driven world.
